4 Category of Customer – Residential Auxiliary Water or Reclaimed Water Requires a Dual Check Auxiliary Water System means a pressurized system of piping and appurtenances using auxiliary water, which is water other than the potable water being supplied by the CWS. That includes water from any natural source such as a well, pond, lake, spring, stream, river, etc. It includes reclaimed water and includes other used water or industrial fluids described in AWWA Manual M14 as incorporated in paragraph 62-555.360(1)(a), F.A.C., and subsection 62-555.360(2), F.A.C. Auxiliary Water System specifically excludes any water recirculation or treatment system for a swimming pool, hot tub, or spa.

6 Category of Customer – Fire Protection Connected directly to LCU water supply via a dedicated fire service connection No chemical additive and/or not connected to an auxiliary water system Requires a Dual Check Chemical additive and/or connected to an auxiliary water system Requires a RP or RPDA Connected internally to the customer’s plumbing system No Device Required

7 Type of Devices Allowed Approved Material List – Updated in February 2016 List includes backflow prevention devices Addition of Dual Check devices Ford Meter Box Company, Inc (Approved Material List) A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing Company (Approved Material List)

8 Standard Detail – Dual Check

9 Testing Frequency Commercial – Any type of device Tested after installation Annually thereafter Residential Dual Check – Refurbished or replaced at least once every 5 to 10 years RP or RPDA Tested after installation Biennially thereafter (every two years)

10 Implementation Commercial – Continue as current implementation Residential The program will be implemented during the DO process starting April 1, 2016 Compliance will be monitored through the CO process
