2. Essential Question How can I use Microsoft Word 2010 to create a business identity?

3. Logo A logo is used to represent a company in the form of an image. It is used to capture the consumer or applicants attention within three seconds. My company, Listen to Me, utilizes a stitched heart to represent how after a heart is broken it can be fixed. I uploaded the picture and cropped the outside elements, changed the format, and color of the image to fit my company theme.

4. Business Card A business card is used as a contact reference. On a business card you include your name, email, phone number, and your company website is optional. I created the business card in word and downloaded the business card template and filled out the appropriate information. I added my logo for a uniformed connection with my company.

5. Brochure Brochures are used as an informational packet. In the brochure I included the company information, pictures and personal testimonies from “students” from my business. I created the brochure template that was downloaded from Microsoft. I added the same uniformity to correspond with the business and filled in the appropriate information.

6. Flyer Flyers are used as advertisement for the business. I was promoting an open house to draw more students and parents to be a part of the organization. I downloaded the template and filled in the correct information to correspond to my business.

7. Registry Listen to Me Registry Final.xlsx A registry for a company shows exactly where and how money is spent. It shows your income and expenses. The way I used Microsoft in my registry, is I created an excel spreadsheet. In the spread sheet I included my expenses as well as an income. Finally I created a visual by making a pie chart to demonstrate my registry in a different way.

8. Checks Checks are used to pay the expenses and products that the company needed. Through Photoshop I added the address from the company and followed the same uniformity that correlated with the business theme. Making and writing out checks that were from the expenses of Bick and Mortar will be a life skill that I will use in the future.

9. Thoughts on the class I was amazed at the work I was able to produce in this class. I would have never thought that I could create a business, let alone a business plan. The amount of work and time that went into the business was crazy. In the end what surprised me the most was that I created this all on Microsoft Word. I am proud of myself and the training I received from this class made me feel even more accomplished and proud at the end of this course.
