3 Mission Statement Train students for creative careers. Provide stage for students to share thoughts, culture and find a creative path for themselves. Create a learning environment that supports the delivery of anytime, anywhere learning. Facilitates communication, collaboration, and coordination among all stakeholders.

4 Technology Vision Exploit potential of computer technology to develop more dynamic and industry- relevant curricula. Use technology in fields of design, visual, culinary and other arts to provide 21 st century skills. Use technology to bridge communication gaps. Use technology tools to provide students with access to creative content by creating partnerships.

5 Analysis of Current Status PC and Mac platform, Fiber backbone, Microsoft products, adobe macromedia, 3-D studios. 8,000 computers in classrooms and 16,000 system wide. $40M in technology installed and Capital budget of $17M in current year. About 60% of teachers use Internet and PowerPoint to facilitate classroom teaching. About 70% of staff and teachers are comfortable in the use of communication technology.

7 Goals and Action Plan Summary Goals and ObjectivesAction Plan All students will have access to tech resources, including students with physical and learning disabilities. Purchase and Deploy assistive technology and provide on-line training to teachers to support students. Provide Access to creative content that supports learner centered environment. Train teachers in available applications and services so that students can learn how to use technology in fields of design, visuals and culinary arts. Use technology-enabled processes to improve productivity, streamline communication, and facilitate management Purchase Microsoft Class Server and provide training to facilitate course management and communication.

Design and customize web portal for wireless delivery. Install wireless access Points to facilitate anytime, anywhere learning. Students will have access to knowledge repositories from external resources. Establish partnerships with external agencies. Acquire software licenses, security certificates and subscriptions for web access.

9 Staff and Teacher Enhancement Program (STEP) Provide teachers with opportunities to develop leadership traits. Training activities will be goal-oriented and linked back to goal of increasing student achievement. Focus on adult way of learning On-site hardware and software support Participation in technology conferences and seminars Evaluate training program for continuous improvement.

10 Partnerships Community Maintain a current and updated website to provide information to all stakeholders. Develop promotional materials to educate the general public about innovation in field of creative and applied arts. Corporate Develop industry relevant curricular programs with the help of leaders in the creative fields. Obtain internships to provide hands-on experiences. Non-Profit organizations Seek grants, professional development and other resources for museums, library etc.
