2. O UR I NTRODUCTION - T HE C ARLTON R OAD P ROJECT Until now the County Council have delivered Youth Services from the Carlton Road Centre As an organisation we were interested in integrating some of our services into the those already established by Lincs County Council

O UR I NTRODUCTION - T HE C ARLTON R OAD P ROJECT Through discussion with LCC Youth Development Workers and other local organisations we have established the Boston Young Persons Partnership (BYPP) A consortium approach to the management of the Carlton Rd centre and towards the running of and installation of positive activities for young people

4. B OSTON Y OUNG PERSONS P ARTNERSHIP Established by several meetings with partner organisations: Pilgrim Schools What Free Time Positive Pilgrims And great support from: LCC’s Youth Development Workers Lincolnshire CVS

5. A IMS OF THE B OSTON Y OUNG P ERSONS P ARTNERSHIP To create a self sustainable youth centre focused on the delivery of positive activities for young people. Apply a strong business approach to the management of the centre Support and develop current activities and groups\organisations Install & develop further activities in line with the 5 baseline standards: Safeguarding Equality & Diversity Health & Safety Standards Around Positive Activities Sustainable Financial Plan

6. BYPP – C ARLTON R D C REATING A Q UALITY S ERVICE Working with Lincolnshire CVS and LCC Youth Development Workers we shall install a quality framework standard for all BYPP partners and service providers to meet. We shall also work in line with the Government “Positive For Youth” paper 2011 to ensure that provision has: Supportive Relations Strong Ambitions Good Opportunities

7. BYPP – C ARLTON R D N EW PROJECTS Funding As always an issue. However, we are hoping our partnership approach to the services will benefit us when applying for funding to establish projects such as: Family Learning IAG (Family Careers Service) Career Cafe – Support for 14 – 18’s Pre Employment Training for 16-18s Youth Club Football Team’s

8. BYPP – C ARLTON R D S USTAINABILITY Financing As always an issue. However, once again we are hoping our partnership approach to the services will benefit us in the provision of: Room Hire – contractual and sessional Youth Community Cafe Establishment of a Social Enterprise within the centre Events and Parties

BYPP – C ARLTON R D B ENEFITS Responsive provision of positive youth activities from passionate third sector organisations More opportunities for community engagement to influence the shape of the services offered. The Boston Young Persons Partnership will continue to work with the County Council to ensure that the new face of public service at Carlton Road is a high quality service
