1 Mike’s Magnificent Animals Hi I’m, Tawny the owl! And I’m going to teach you about owls! Our sharp beaks are used to tear pieces of meat that are too big to gulp. Yum!

2 When an owl attacks it spreads all eight of its claws. This helps the owl capture its prey. If an owl is at the top of the food chain and it eats to many poisoned animals it will die. Oh no I’m to young to die!

3 An owls talons or claws are dangerous weapons. They stab and hold their prey. Their talons work like ice hooks which stab slippery blocks of ice. Ouch! An owl cannot digest everything it eats. Some things like teeth and hair are packed into a pellet and is spit out. Yuck!

4 HI I’m Rocky Do you like snakes? Because im going to teach you about them!!! Scientists milk snakes draining the venom from there Fangs. They use the venom to make medicine to help people who have been bitten by venomous snakes. The western diamond back can inject enough venom at one time to kill 45 people.

5 Hi im Wolfe im here to teach you about wolfs and dogs!!! Even when wild sleeps its ears stand up so it can catch sounds made by other animals The longer an animals legs are they can cover with every stride and less weight it has the faster it can move.

6 The Bat eared fox has some big ears for hunting in a special way. It lives on mostly termites and with those big ears they can hear bugs in their tiny tunnels!!
