2. IP5 installation The mechanical structure has shown problems on installation and should be changed slightly The some structure has been bent by CMS magnetic field, we need to rethink it more deeply

3. IP5 Installation 1/4 T2 has been insatalled in IP5 (position - far) in front of Castor The elctronics control is working in all 10 chambers, but we lost one arm in chamber 10 and one pad Vfat in chamber 9, means 9 Vfats due to control loop. Daq tested in 555 lab only

5. IP5 Installation LV tested HV tested, one HV line in connector cable bad Chambers tested with 58V to see if properly connected

6. IP5 Installation Cooling: –Chiller installed the last day just before closing, and not tested –There is still a small leak, the pipe test has been done with CO2 and with 4 bar pressure after 3 hours we see 300 mbar leak. –Water not yet flown there

7. What next We need an urgent inspection on the installed quarter to see the damages. We need really to rebuild the mechanics and correct several small problems mainly on gas and cooling. Try to recover the missing Vfats.

8. Next steps Second quarter almost ready in Leszek lab, it is missing the 11th card 4 good 11th cards are arriving next week here at CERN and will be shipped to Italy for the components mounting Hopefully in 2 weeks we can start the commissioning of second telescope

9. Hybrids We need soon the second set of Hybrids for the second telescope Pisa is ready to start glueing and bonding. If enough hybrids are made we can have it ready and tested before Christmas.

10. Second telescope All chambers are almost ready in Helsinky These will be prepared all in Finland with the proper shielding and then shipped here to be assembled The electronics should be ready and tested then.

11. Final Installation We need to be prepared for the installation some time before the CMS closes. We cannot afford an unsafe, always critical, and in emergency, installation as it was with the first quarter. We need to push our people to do things in advance and have enough time to test the detectors before going in the pit.
