2  Teacher duties- Grade students’ assignments to monitor their progress, communicate with parents about their child’s progress, prepare students for standardized tests required by the state, etc.  Duties/easy- Communicate with parents about their child’s progress and supervise children outside of the classroom.  Duties/Challenging- Plan lessons that teach students subjects, such as reading and math. Develop enforce classroom rules to teach children proper behavior  Work Environment- Kindergarten teacher work in public and private schools. Some private early childhood education programs have preschool classes in addition to kindergarten.

4  Median pay- 2010 was $51,380 per year.  Education required- At least a bachelor’s degree. Public school teachers must have a state-issued certification or license.  Job Training- Preparing younger students for future schooling by teaching them the basics of subjects such as math and reading.  # Job Outlooks- 17%  Growth Rate- It is expected to grow by 17 percent from 2010 to 2020.
