11. Lesson 13 – More Healing 13:10-17 Jesus humiliated, shamed the Jews in this “exchange” v. 17a The people, however, rejoiced over these glorious things Jesus was doing v. 17b

12. Lesson 13 – 2 More Parables 13:18-21 Given the reaction of the people to the previous events, it seems Jesus felt the need again to reinforce the nature of the kingdom and how it would grow He did this by telling 2 short parables…ones He had previously told in Galilee cp. Mt 13

17. Lesson 13 – General Teaching 13:22-35 Jesus laments over Jerusalem vv. 34-35 He was deeply saddened the city had not come to Him as He had hoped v. 34 The city would suffer the consequences of her rejection Ù “desolation” (destruction) “Coming in the name of the Lord” = judgment
