3. The Incas The Inca Empire or Inca Empire was the largest empire in pre-Columbian America. The administrative, political and military center of the empire was located in Cusco in modern-day Peru. The Aztecs The Aztec people were certain ethnic groups of central Mexico, particularly those groups who spoke the Nahual language and who dominated large parts of Mesoamerica from the 14th to 16th centuries.
