3 Results achieved in the first two phases: 2004-2011 Template national law “on the security of hydropower installations” Adoption of a law “on the security of hydropower installations” by Tajikistan in 2010 Draft template technical regulation “on the security of hydropower installations” Draft regional agreement on cooperation on the security of hydropower installations Training courses for senior officials 3

4 Proposals for a third phase: 2012-2014 UNECE was requested by national partners to continue cooperation Main activities –Strengthening legislation and institutions at the national level –Training national experts and senior officials –Regional cooperation –Safer operations of individual dams and building confidence between countries 4
