13 Summary of what may affect you Departure routes Westerly operations 80%Significant noise reduction for many esp at weekends Easterly operations 20%Some reduction in noise impact in some areas Arrival routes Broadly similar at low level, identical within last 5 to 9 miles on approach except some benefits in 06 arrivals over Fleet Light aircraft routes Some changes to routes within 15 miles of the airport

14 Summary of what may affect you Aircraft will often be higher than today and will be more concentrated onto predictable flight paths over lightly populated areas where possible – in line with the latest Government policy.

15 The environmental overview At lower levels, there will be some small increase in track miles flown for some aircraft – this is because environmental impact of noise is given priority over fuel-efficiency In the long term, if no airspace changes were to be made, the forecast traffic increase at the airport would lead to a sharp increase in delays to Farnborough aircraft, both in the air and on the ground, leading to increased local environmental impact.

16 How to make your views known Responses via the consultation website - www.Consultation.TAGFarnboroughAirport.com Use the consultation material to determine how you think the proposal will affect you Respond to the questions from the relevant section of the consultation form – you can add free text comments and documents if required We are interested in your response even if you do not think it will affect you There is a facility for submitting responses non-electronically for those who cannot access the online submission.
