2 CONSEQUENCES OF UNDERAGE DRINKING AND DRUG USE. Memory Problems Abuse of other drugs Alcohol related car accidents and other related injuries. Physical Problems, Hangovers and illness. Social Problems School Problems Higher risk for Suicide and Homocide. Changes in Brain development that may have life long affects.

3 FACTS 44% of students attending 4-year colleges drink alcohol at the binge level or greater. Annually, more than 5,000 deaths of people under 21 are linked to underage Drinking The average age at which Americans begin drinking regularly is 15.9 years old. Every year, an estimated 30,000 college students require medical treatment after overdosing on alcohol or drugs. About 50% of high school seniors do not think it's harmful to try cocaine once or twice and 40% believe it's not harmful to use heroin once or twice.

4 PREVENTION 1. Ban alcohol in and around college campuses -Turn away college students from getting the alcohol. 2. Hire more drug officers -Get more drugs off the streets. 3. Limit the amount of alcohol in each state. -Rationing it out so that it's harder to get a lot of it at one time. 4. Closer over the counter monitoring. - Watch the drug stores more closely to make sure over the counter drugs are used the right way and rationed out well.
