3  Weight- the measurement of the force of gravity on an object  Gravity- the force of attraction between two objects (downwards force)  Weight is measured with a scale  Units are Newtons  Does change with location in the universe  Does change with gravity  The more gravity an object has the more weight it will have  Mass- the amount of matter (or particles) that makes up an object  Measured with a TBB  Units are Kg  Does not change with location in the universe  Does not change with gravity  The more mass an object has, the more gravity it will have

4  Mass is how much matter is in an object (measured in g and kg) Weight is how much gravity is pulling down on an object (measured in Newtons). Gravity is the force that is attracting two objects together. The relationship between weight and gravity is weight just depends on how much gravity is pulling down. Mass however, is matter in an object, so it does not depend on gravity at all. For example, if a person were on the moon there weight would be lighter because not much gravity is pulling them down on the moon. Mass would not change.

5  Mass and weight are two ways to tell how heavy something is. Weight is the force of gravity on an object. Mass is how much volume is in an object.

6  Gravity is the attraction between two objects mass is the particles that make a object. Weight pulls an object down to earth. Gravity and weight are kinda the same but mass is not the same as gravity and weight. If gravity and weight did not exist every one and everything will be floating. This is the relationship between gravity, mass, and weight.

7  Mass is related because the mass you get from gravitational force you weigh it using a triple beam balance or a graduated cylinder. Mass and weight are related to each other because when you weigh you use a scale.
