5 Jump to first page This source definitely tells us: That he was in the cathedral. That he was hit in the head. That he was in a position of prayer. That the knights attacked him with swords. The knights are painted inaccurately.

6 Jump to first page This source may be suggesting... One of the knights had an axe. There was a fifth person involved in the attack. Other monks and clerks were at the scene. This was drawn to make us feel even more sorrow for Becket rather than give an accurate account of what happened. He was kneeling at the altar. Not all the sources agree on this.
