4 HOW TO DRESS Wear the appropriate professional attire. Teachers are role models to their students. What the teacher wears and how he or she carries him/herself will have a strong impact on the students. Therefore, it is crucial for teachers to use appropriate attire. The way you dress will be the students first impression.

6 PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE Remember to keep student information confidential Become familiar with the school organizations and programs by attending any school and/or parents meetings when appropriate. Developing professional relationships by interacting with students, faculty and parents Attitude is another important aspect of professionalism. If you present a negative or disinterested attitude it will show! Your co-teachers, team mates and STUDENTS will recognize you overall attitude immediately.

11 SET PERSONAL GOALS Professional growth is not automatic Revisit philosophy of teaching Address areas for improvement Do not take things personally! Keep a journal Try to do one thing a day (no matter how small) to improve yourself professionally!!
