Relevance – Both VO and VC modes have advantages for certain tasks, and many end users desire terminal device that can switch between each mode.

Present pilot study: – 5 subjects with intact arms and 2 subjects with amputation used VO and VC split-hook prehensor to perform Southampton Hand Assessment Procedure.
