3 A translation is when a figure moves right, left or up & down on the coordinate grid.

4 Enlargement- When the figures original dimensions enlarge. ( Get bigger ) Reduction- When the figures original dimensions reduce. ( Get smaller)

5 A reflection is when it flips over the x or y axis. It’s like a mirror image.

6  Scale factor is what you multiply by to get from your original figure to the new figure.  The scale factor is great than 1 if it is a enlargement.  The scale factor is less than 1 if it is reduction.

7 TThe perimeter is affected the same way as the scale factor. If the scale factor is 3 the perimeter will be 3 times the size of the original figure.

8 To find the change of the area you find the area of both figures and divide the new area by the original area.
