2 Biological drawings are used to record the observations made about a specimen The following guidelines should be adhered to when making biological drawings: Use a sharp pencil to draw a large clear continuous outline of what you see! Do not shade or colour your drawing Structures should be represented in the same proportions as they occur in the specimen Biological drawings must have; a clear title, magnification & labels Label lines should; be drawn using a ruler, be parallel to each other, not bear arrows ( → ) or dots () at the end & touch the structure being labelled The drawing should not be enclosed or framed

3 You are provided with a specimen labelled L1 Make an outline drawing of the specimen Work out and indicate the magnification of your drawing (show your working) Label your drawing

4 A photograph showing external features of a simple leaf.

5 A diagram showing external features of a simple leaf.
