Salvador Fabiola classe IV A a.s. 2012-2013

Why to switch to Vodafone? Thesis:

Objective To promote a convenient offer in order to persuade more clients to switch to Vodafone

Scene: The scene develops its in a winter landscape in the Christmas period on a skating-rink. We understand that it deals with a Christmas period thanks to the Christmas tree and some Christmas gifts exposed.

Characters: There are some people because they are in public place, however we can distinguish 5 people that are the probably friends of the main character, the Bear.

What do the characters wear? They wear typical winter cloths, the Bear, Bruno, wears a red scarf and white and red skates that take back the Christmas colours but also of the Vodafone.

What do the colours of the Vodafone represent? Red: colour of love and passion, it is also the colour of the blood and so of the wars. White: colour of purity and eternity, it is also the colour of peace and liberty.

Why to use a Bear for this spot? There are several possibilities for which the producers have used a bear for this spot: a.To make people remember their infancy, in which there was the bear of plush. b.To make the scene amusing using an awkward and slow animal

What does it happen in the scene? The bear goes on the skating-rink and starts to make acrobatic jumps leaving the spectators amazed. While he is making the jumps, he uses funny words (Saint Honorè, Marron Glacè, Trottolino Peloso) to describe them. Followingly it asks to its friend a mark, they answer 250 but it adds other 250. This is used to introduce the offer of the Vodafone.

What is the language used? They use a simply and short language, they also use funny and gastronomics words. They repeat two times the number 250 in order to stick in the audience’s mind the content of the offer. At the end of the spot they repeat with a synthetic and serious language the offer and the vantages.

What is the music used? The music there is only in the last part of the spot when the speaker shows the details of the offer. In the previous part of the spot there is not music but speak the characters. The music proposes is a typical Christmas jingle that creates movement and rhythm in the scene.

What makes this spot peculiarly Italian? Probably the use of words that remember food make this spot peculiarly Italian, because in all the world Italian people look like “big eaters” that spend all their free time eating and making parties. Another point that makes this spot Italian could be the use of funny scene or animals to persuade the audience.
