3 Studying Medicine, which in my opinion, is one of the most interesting and rewarding careers that there are. This type of field requires a lot of dedication and passion. Oh, and many sleepless nights!!

11 Facts about USA  Currency- The United States dollar  The Great Seal- is used to authenticate certain documents issued by the United States federal government.  The bald eagle is the national bird and symbol of the United States and is a protected species

12 Important national holidays Thanksgiving What is Thanksgiving? On the fourth Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, a national holiday honoring the early settlers and their harvest feast known as the first Thanksgiving.

13 From the beginning..  Before the European settlers came the United States, Native Americans and their tribes inhabited the certain areas of the U.S.  Along the East Coast of the United States where the European settlers arrived, lived the Wampanoag Indians.  The Wampanoag Indians had lived in the area for many years.  The Indians and people from the tribe knew the land well and had fished, hunted, and harvested for thousands of generations

14 Arrival of the European settlers  The Pilgrims who sailed to America aboard the Mayflower were originally members of the English Separatist Church.  The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620  Several Pilgrims died on their voyage to America due to several diseases.  When the Pilgrims had their first encounter with the Indians, the Indians noticed they were weak and helped the settlers grow crops and hunt for food.

15 The first Thanksgiving  The Indians and the Pilgrims had their first successful harvest.  Together they celebrated and ate together.  The Pilgrims were very thankful that the Indians helped them.  It is said that the Pilgrims would not have survived without the help of the Native American Indians.

The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986. It is located on Liberty Island in New York.

24 Georgia on my mind  The capital of Ga is Atlanta  Ga is known for its peaches. It is called the peach state.  Atlanta is known to be one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S  Atlanta was host of the 1996 Olympic games

25 Martin Luther King Jr  Martin Luther King, Jr. was an American activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.  He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience  King has become a national icon in the history of modern American liberalism  He was most known for his “I have a dream” speech. Which ia about equality, peace, and freedom for all people especially people of color.  He established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history

27 Home of the Coca-Cola  Atlanta is home of the Coca-Cola  In May, 1886, Coca- Cola was invented by an Atlanta pharmacist named Dr. John Pemberton.  Dr. Pemberton invented the formula in a kettle in his backyard

28 Coca-Cola  Frank Robinson who was Dr. Pemberton’s bookkeeper gave him the idea of the name Coca-Cola  Mr. Robinson who had very nice hand writing wrote the letters of what’s now the coke logo.  Coca- Cola is the most sold soft drink in the world
