Feb 15, 20074/6 OSG EB Meeting – VO Services Status Gabriele Garzoglio VOMS/VOMRS WLCG Workshop (2) Outcome: –Generic Attributes (GAs) are needed for ATLAS and LHCb. –VO managers must provide written requirements: deadline Mid Feb 07 –GAs should be handled at the level of VO-specific software and will NOT be interpreted by the grid middleware. VOMRS will develop support for GAs –Goal: Finish development by March –Status: Started coding – Discovered problems with VOMS Attribute API –Notified VOMS developers.

Feb 15, 20076/6 OSG EB Meeting – VO Services Status Gabriele Garzoglio EGEE / OSG Interoperability on SE Authz Authorization in dCache is managed by the gPlazma component. gPlazma supports call-out to GUMS (OSG) and local mapfile (EGEE) RISK: duplicating functionalities in gPlazma –EGEE does not want to manage Identity mapping via GUMS AND there is no plan to integrate LCMAPS with dCache –BUT… Local mapfiles are difficult to manage (no synch w/ VOMS, complex mapping w/ roles) We do not want to duplicate GUMS functionalities in gPlazma
