A: Yes. Enough grain is grown to provide each person with 10 loaves of bread every day.

A. We use over 50% of it to feed animals and fatten them up for slaughter. To produce 1lb of beef you need to feed the cow 5lb of grain.

A. They can’t afford them. 85% of the world fertilizer is used by Western Europe and North America.

A. Yes they did! They produced too much and to prevent the prices falling and losing money, they dumped it at sea.

A. They say it is too expensive to transport.

A. Multinational companies can control some of the best land in LEDC’s and can dictate what to grow.
