1 God Created the heavens and the earth! (Genesis 1 & 2)
The fall of man (Genesis 3) Cain and Abel (Genesis 4) Genealogies (Genesis 5)

2 I want you to see that the flood account supports a literal interpretation of the Bible

3 If we don’t believe the flood to be historical then:
Jesus return is uncertain (Mt. 24:37-39; 2nd Pet. 3:3-7) Jesus may not reveal to us spiritual things (Jn. 3:12)

4 "If you tell a lie long enough and loud enough and often enough, people will believe it."
Adolph Hitler Proverbs 18:17 “The first to plead his case seems right, Until another comes forward to examine him.”

5 The Flood Account God was displeased with the abundance of sin (6:5,6;11,12 ) He decided to destroy the earth with a flood. (6:7, 17) Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time, and walked with God (6:8,9) God promised to establish a covenant with Noah (6:18; 9:9) Fountains burst open and floodgates opened (7:11,12) All the earth was covered (7:19,20) *

6 What about Carbon 14 Dating?
AnswersinGenesis.org

7 Because 12C is a stable isotope of carbon, it will remain constant; however, the amount of 14C will decrease after a creature dies. All living things take in carbon (14C and 12C) from eating and breathing. Therefore, the ratio of14C to 12C in living creatures will be the same as in the atmosphere.  The amount of 12C will remain constant, but the amount of 14C will become less and less.

8 “Equilibrium” is the theory that the 14C being put into the atmosphere is equal to the amount that is decaying. ***Issues with Equilibrium*** * Earth’s magnetic field is fading! 10% since German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss *The amount of fossil fuels indicate a much greater presence of vegetation/Carbon Pre-flood

9 What about the Geologic Column?

10 What about Specimen Ridge?
A plaque at Yellowstone reads the following: "Across the valley rise the slopes of Specimen Ridge, but the forest you see there today is only the latest chapter in a remarkable story. Buried within the volcanic rocks that compose the mountain are twenty-seven distinct layers of fossil forests that flourished 50 million years ago."

11 Polystate Trees

14 More issues for the evolutionist
What about soft sediment deformation? Soft-sediment deformation The deposit of “liquid-like” or unsolidified sediments. The most common places for soft-sediment deformations to materialize are in deep water basins with turbidity currents, rivers, deltas, and shallow-marine areas with storm impacted conditions.

15 What about the lack of erosion sediment?
What we should see What we do see

16 Other evidence to look up
Surface Features Presence of bioturbation Lack of soil in rock layers Lack of land animals in the fossil record Absence of transitional fossils Mt. St. Helens answersingenesis.org

17 Another look at Noah’s Flood
Heb. 9:27,28 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
