16 Bookstore Advance Purchase Program (BAPP)
Allows students receiving financial aid to purchase their textbooks & supplies in advance of the first day of classes, prior to financial aid awards being disbursed OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

17 BAPP Criteria To qualify you must:
Have financial aid of at least $100 in excess of all charges on your student account Be enrolled at least half-time (minimum 6 credit hours) Check OASIS prior to the start of each term to see if you qualify OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

18 BAPP For example, if you owe USF $3,000 for the term, you must have at least $3,100 in aid for the term to take advantage of the program OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

Is an additional tuition fee Approximately $7 per credit hour above base tuition cost Bright Futures will not pay this fee Pre-Paid recipients may have fee removed after activation of pre-paid (You take your pre-paid card to Cash Accounting-ADM 125) OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

Florida Medallion & Gold Seal Pays 75% tuition minus differential fee Annual Renewal Requirements: 2.75 GPA Earn 12 credit hours per academic year OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

Pre-Paid Tuition Plan Pays for approximately 75% tuition Remaining fees are considered local fees Pre-Paid Local Fee Plan Pays for approximately 23% of fees associated with tuition Remaining fees are not covered by Tuition or Local fee plans Pre-Paid Housing Plan Pays for costs associated with specified on-campus residence halls OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

23 Florida Bright Futures & Florida Pre-Paid Tuition
You can use both programs at the same time. Each semester: FL Pre-Paid is applied to the student account first Bright Futures funds are disbursed to the student account after the end of the first week of classes OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

3. Excess funds remaining after tuition has been paid will be applied to other charges posted to your student account OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

Federal regulations prohibit you: From receiving more financial aid than your cost of attendance From receiving need-based aid that exceeds your calculated financial need This may require an adjustment to your award OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

Avoid late surprises: Report any funds not listed on your award summary in OASIS Let us know immediately using the Additional Resources form (available from the financial aid website) OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID

To receive Federal Stafford Loan funds: Complete the Entrance Interview in OASIS Select a lender using the Stafford Lender Preference Form in OASIS OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID
