Preflight briefing - They are briefed by the captain on expected weather conditions, special passenger problems etc. They check emergency equipment in the aircraft. The aircraft and toilets are tidied and seat pocket information put in place. Meals and beverage for the number of passengers on board is checked. First-aid kits and other emergency equipment are checked. They greet passengers coming aboard, check their tickets, and assist them in storing carry-on luggage. When passengers are seated, they check that doors are closed and seat belts fastened. Before take-off they demonstrate the use of emergency equipment and point out exit doors and notify the pilot when they are ready for take- off.

Inflight: They serve meals and drinks. Meals are usually pre-packed and stored in hot cases. Sell duty-free goods such as alcohol, perfume and tobacco. Make announcements on behalf of the pilot, and before landing they check that safety belts are fastened.
