0 CCV Advanced User Training
Welcome! CCV Advanced User Training January 2014 Harish Gangadharappa Facilitator instructions: 01 – add your name or change as you like but keep the logos on the bottom. 02 – introduce your self and let your class say their names, roles, and how long at their post. 03 – notes come with this slide. Main point is the first two items are nearing completion and now it’s about the people and training; hence, them! 04 – Technology and processes, though complex, are simpler than the people component but not as rewarding. Thank them for taking part! 05 – Why they were chosen by leadership and emphasize the three words highlighted. 06 – Besides being chosen, they and their leadership made a commitment. 07 – The value of Super Users to implement change is depicted in this video. 08 – Review your agenda for the course and for the day 09 – At the end, we will measure how well we did by assessing competence and confidence. 10 – Roadmap to the coming weeks in the learning lab 11 – Workflow overview placeholder. Adjust for your solution. 12 – Begin content instruction Learning Consultant, Cerner Corporation

2 This is you People Process Technology Key Discussion:
Achieving the promised value of health care IT requires three equally important project threads: Facilitator Note: Speak to the graphics on the screen from the bottom up. Technology – we need to collaborate to provide great software that is implemented effectively. Process – we need to improve the way work is done to deliver benefit and value, not simply automate manual or paper-based processes. People – nothing happens unless end-users embrace the technology and process changes and use them effectively. This is the final step, but without it, we will derive no value from the health care IT investment.

3 Enterprise Readiness - Focus on the People…
Key Discussion: The human piece is different. It is about how do you get buy-in, influence stakeholders and achieve lasting change. The interpersonal component of the implementation process and focus on the acceptance & motivation of end-users are a key component to successful EHR implementations.
