20 VISION A national, discerning, apostolic community
1994 – VISION AND MISSION VISION A national, discerning, apostolic community MISSION CLCP 2000: a spreading Ignatian Fire

21 PURPOSE We, the Christian Life Community of the Philippines, at the service of one world, envision ourselves as a national, discerning, apostolic community, composed of small self-propelled and interdependent communities that draw strength from the Lord through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Imbued with a sense of the Church and rooted in the realities of the times, we freely opt to creatively, fully, and joyfully participate in the transformation of the Philippines toward a just and humane society, i.e., a Christ-centered community of discerning disciples seeking, finding, and responding to God in all things according to one’s particular circumstances.

25 2001 What have you done for Christ? What are you doing for Christ?
What should you be doing for Christ?

26 Continue participating in the transformation of the Philippines towards a just and humane society

27 Break bread with the hungry
Salient points of the work of continuing transformation:

28 Labor with the weary.

29 Cry with those in pain.

30 Share life with the poor… see the world with their eyes… hear with their ears … be one with them in their joys and hopes… be in community with them…

31 Go beyond our comfort zones…
Journey on with the Risen Christ… and commit ourselves to labor with Him…

32 2003 – STRATEGIC PLAN MISSION
To help build God’s Kingdom, manifested in the Philippine Church of the Poor, through the formation of CLC and other faith communities steeped in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Labor with him – strategically and effectively

33 The Christian Life Community of the Philippines
Vision The Christian Life Community of the Philippines is a discerning apostolic community growing in union with Christ through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Imbued with a sense of and love for the Church, we participate in Christ’s mission specifically in bringing about maturity in faith and social justice with a sense of urgency and disponibility.

34 2005 – SISID NA! …plunge into the DEEP of our involvement with the Church of the Poor so that the Beauty and Grandeur of the Church… may be more distinctly and radiantly manifested.

35 2006 Communal Examen in preparation for NA 2007
Question we asked ourselves: Now that we are turning 40 as CLCP, what is the MAGIS that God is asking of us?

36 In 2007 CLCP turned 40!! Ano ang sinabi ni Lord?

37 “Love one another as I have loved you.”
2007 – THE CLCP MAGIS AT 40 “Love one another as I have loved you.”

38 …express this love by building up the nation…

39 “I came that you might have life and have it abundantly.”
So that we can help bring about Christ’s promise of love: “I came that you might have life and have it abundantly.”

42 Trece Martires City, Cavite
THE CLCP MAGIS AT 40 CLCP General Assembly April28 – May 1, 2007 at H. dela Costa Formation Center, Trece Martires City, Cavite In celebration of our 40th year as the Christian Life Community of the Philippines, at our 30th National Assembly, we, the members of the CLCP and of the Philippine Church of the Poor, want to respond and deepen our response to the Lord Jesus Christ’s command to “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12). In union with Mary and like Mary, we wish to respond with the same :yes” to God’s call to nurture as special love for the poor.

43 We will express this love by building up the nation through the formation of guides, members and communities among and with the poor, grounded in and guided by the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the General Principles of the CLC. Conscious of the fact that this will only come about to the extent that we exercise Cura Personalis, we will make an effort to foster this spirit throughout the National Community.

44 By harnessing the energy and passion of
our youth and uniting it with the wisdom and experience of our elders, we will strive to renew and develop our organizational structures, improve our communication, deepen our personal commitment and enhance the effectiveness of the CLC in carrying out the Magis that Christ has entrusted to us. We do all these, confident of Christ’s promise, “I came that you might have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
