9 Live Like You Were Dying
We are dying or “winding down” toward death every day (2Co.4:16) We all have an appointment with death and with the Judge of all men (He.9:27) We do not know if it will be today, tomorrow or some time later (Js.4:13-14)

10 James 4:13-14 13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

11 Live Like You Were Dying
We are dying or “winding down” toward death every day (2Co.4:16) We all have an appointment with death and with the Judge of all men (He.9:27) We do not know if it will be today, tomorrow or some time later (Js.4:13-14) Thus we are taught to live each day as if it were our last (Js.4:14,17)

12 James 4:14,17 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Men have been helped to live by remembering that they must die. -Spurgeon

14 Psalms 39:4-6 4 "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. 5 Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah

18 Colossians 3:5-6 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,

19 2 Peter 3:10-12 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

20 2 Peter 3:10-12 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

21 2 Peter 3:14-15 14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation…

22 Isaiah 59:1-2 1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
