1 10 Day Itinerary Finland

2 Leaving from LAX on Wednesday November 27 at 7:00 A.M and landing Thursday 28 at 8:50 AM. Flight is 15 hours and 50 minutes with one stop. Day:1 Since jetlag will devour you, a nap is scheduled from landing time where you will stay in Helsinki for the next day. In the Helsinki terminal you can rent cars, under the SIXT company you can rent an Economy car that costs $179. After renting a car, you would drive to the Hostel Suomenlinna(29.51 Dorms per. night ) which is 4.3km from the centre, you would approximately arrive at the Hostel around 9:30 A.M where you will sleep until 3:00p.m. Since Helsinki is the capital of Finland, your first meal will be at Soul Kitchen Oy in the city centre. Excellent food that wouldn’t pass 25 dollars. Your first meal in Helsinki would be around 2-3 hours depending on the quantity of food and the size of your party. Most tourists visit Museums or state buildings in their first hours in a foreign country. Were doing the opposite and visiting ZOOs and Aquariums. Traveling from the city centre to the Helsinki Zoo is a 5 minute drive. A group package ranges from 30-50 dollars depending on the ages of the members of your party. You also have the chance to use a Ferry that would transport you from the city centre to the ZOO that would range again with age. The prices vary from 5 to 13 dollars. The zoo offers a variegate of wonder with one hundred-fifty animal species and almost one thousand animal plant species. Your trip to the zoo would spend around 3hrs (8:00). One of the craziest things to do ever is skydiving, which you could do in Finland. According to dropzone.com you can gain an Ariel view of Finland's capital with minimal experience. Prices range again with altitude and aircraft the highest price is almost 800 but the lowest price is 300 with a 3 mile fall. This location is at Helsinki-Malmi airport, 00700 Finland. The airport is a 22 min drive from the zoo, you would arrive there around 8:40 and be in the air around 9:30. Viewing Finland’s capital from a birds perspective. This great adventure will end around 10:00 where you would drive back to the hostel in Suomenlinna.(25 min drive)

4 Day 2: Day two would be spent in Helsinki again, where you would visit and experience Finland’s culture at its finest. Your day begins with breakfast, most important meal of the day! You will eat Breakfast at Cafe Regatta located near the Olympic park and Sibelius Monument. It’s a seven minute drive from the city centre, where you would enjoy fantastic food with a 96% recommended rating. They have a variety of delicious options in their menu like smoked salmon sandwiches and everything a cafe has to offer. Breakfast would sometime around 12:00 a.m. Leaving you the rest of the day for sightseeing. First on the list is the Sibelius Monument, which is a five minute walk away from the Cafe, covers your skyline with structure resembling organ pipes. It was influenced by Jean Sibelius, and is a main attraction for tourists in Finland. You most likely spend an hour or so viewing this amazing structure leading you to visit the famous Olympic Stadium, where the 1938 Olympics were held. After spending an hour or so viewing this historic landmark, you would venture off to see the hundreds of museums in Helsinki. It is a ten minute drive from the Olympic Stadium to the Open-Air Seurasaari Museum. It is a charming small museum that has art pieces from the 18-20th century. You would end the day with a trip back to your hostel where you would drop of your car and check out of the hostel(30 min drive).

6 Day 3: This day we leave Helsinki and travel 2 hour 54 mins and about 157.8 miles to Rauma. when arriving to the city you will be staying in Cumulus Rauma which is a 3 star hotel which cost about $110 a night. Since Rauma is a port city you will enjoy your first breakfast by the beach with street vendors, the ultimate way to absorb Finland's culture. After noon you will begin investigating what Rauma has offer. There is a very old light house by the centre where you can take a fairy(10) and sail to the lighthouse. There you can climb to the top and overlook the city. Dusk would be descending and you will check back to your hotel and eat a 20$ dinner.

8 Day4: Day two in the port city, and you haven't experienced much. Today you would view what this city has to offer, there is actually small boats that travel the web like canals through the city. There you could view most of the city in a matter of minutes for 30 dollars. The doc is 30 min walk from your hotel. You would spend the day cruising around the city in the warm sun.

10 Day5: On this day you'll be traveling to jakobstad, Finland where beautiful scenery and architecture e are in every turn. There you would stay at Hotel Epoque a two hour drive from the city of Rauma. There you get the much needed rest with free breakfast and small restaurants surrounding with cheap food. You will spend the entire day in this beautiful hotel where you would catch up on much needed rest, with Saunas, indoor pools, and everything a this hotel has to offer. 108$ a night.

12 Day:7 This day we will be traveling to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park which is one of the most beautiful places in Finland. We will arrive there at around 10 am where we will go to the ski resort and ski most of the day. We will check into to the local hotel there which will stay two nights. After the day is done you can walk around and enjoy the scenery or you go to your hotel room and debrief.

14 Day 8: This day will be again spending the day at the national park and we will be sightseeing and going on trails around the park. We will go on the Hetta-Pallas trail which is 55 km long. This trail will be an all day thing which we will see natural scenery of lakes, rivers and vast landscapes of mountains and hills. We will return to the hotel around 8-9 and head straight to bed for the next day we will drive to Turku Castle.

16 Day 9: We will wake up at 5 in the morning and check out of the hotel there. We will then drive to Turku Castle which will be about 12 hours to get there. We will get there around 5-6 pm. We will then go to Hostel Turku and stay two nights for 56 dollars a night. We will not do anything today other than rest and then eat. You could go outside of your hostel and enjoy the night air and look at the beautiful city.

18 Day 10: Today is where we will do sightseeing at the Turku Castle. The turku Castle is a 700 year old castle that shows historical times and also all the way to present times. It has a museum inside which we will attend. You can either go on a tour guide or you can go at your own pace. You will learn about the middle ages and also the renaissance era. The ticket for the adult will be around 11 dollars. We will get there around 10 o’clock which we will walk there and will take about 10 min. Once we are there we look around the castle and take a tour. We will then start to leave around 4 o’clock and go back to the hostel. We will relax till 7 than we will go to Viikinkiravintola Herald, Viking restaurant Harald which is where we will eat. This is a nicer place which we will enjoy. The price range is about 16-69 dollars. We will finish our meal and go back to our hostel and go to bed.

20 Day 11: This is our last day of our journey which we will wake up, check out of our hostel, and then go to eat breakfast. We should be done by 11 where we while travel to Helsinki airport for about two hours. We will get there around 1-2 o’clock. Once we are there we will eat lunch and then prepare to go on the flight. We should be in the terminal around 3 o’clock so we can board the plane. We then leave Helsinki, Finland on Sunday December 8 at 4:00 pm and land on Monday December 9 at 3:30 pm. Flight is 33 hours and 30 minutes with one stop.
