Example: x, 6x Constant: (Numbers) Values that don’t change Initial Fee: Values that don’t change (Y-intercept) Rates: Values that change a specific rate (rate of change, or slope) (mx, or kx) Inverse Operations: Applying the opposite operations of variable terms and constants

Combine Like Terms WITH THEIR SIGNS using Inverse Operations Start with the Variable Terms and their signs Always move the smaller variable term first so you get a POSITIVE Move the constants last ***If you see multiplication or division, do those steps last *** Box your answers
