4 Developing Your Grant Proposal Idea Developing Your Grant Proposal Idea Successful grant proposals: Deliver an important idea and address a significant issue Show an innovative approach to that issue Describe reasonable objectives and a detailed plan to achieve them Assure the funder that the applicant is capable of success Explain how the project will advance the organization’s mission and the funder’s mission

Start to consider evaluation & budget

12 Why A Case Statement? Writing a Case Statement is an important first step in developing a project idea that will meet clearly defined needs for the project participants and for the organization.
