MUST I FORGIVE? Matt. 18:21-35

Holding A Grudge  Means having hatred in your heart – 1 John 3:11-15  Means living in the past  Keeps us from forgiveness – Matt. 6:12-15

God Is Our Example  Considering what sin is – Rom. 4:3-8  And what we see in Jesus – Luke 23:32-37  His forgiveness is unlimited in nature – 1 John 1:8-10  If HE is ready & willing to forgive, why aren’t we?!

Letting It Go  Understand that “forgive them” does not mean “love everything about them” – Eph. 4:26-27  Realize that they are a soul, just like you and I – Matt. 16:24-27  Move forward, regardless of the past – Phil. 3:13-16

Conclusion No matter the injury, no matter if they have not asked for it, YES, you must forgive! God’s Word is abundantly clear. To not forgive when He is willing to forgive is to say that you know better than the Lord. Do not be such a fool!
