9. Can you imagine following a leader who is impatient, unkind, arrogant, disrespectful, selfish, unforgiving, dishonest, and uncommitted? Is that a person who would inspire and influence you to action? Someone who you would sign up to follow?

12. Servant Leadership Servant leadership is first identifying the needs of the people that we serve and secondly, meeting them.

14. According to psychology, every teenager has two basic needs: To be valued and to be heard

15. Servant Leadership Servant leadership is focused on relationships before tasks. When we build relationships with others, we earn respect (as opposed to demanding respect).

16. Servant leadership is modeling the behavior that we want to see in others. It is the idea that by our example, others will be moved to follow our actions. We cannot change others, we can only change ourselves.

17. Humility Humility means realizing that we are not always right. It is important to ask feedback from the people that we serve. “Insanity is continuing to do what you’ve always done and hoping for different results.”
