Of the top 1000 companies in the USA, only 25 are run by women. In the top ten paying jobs for women, females earn less than men; only one career -- speech pathology -- pays the same regardless of gender.

8. Tactics They campaigned for votes for women, but always kept within the law. They wrote pamphlets, held meetings and sent out trained speakers. ‘Common Cause’ was the newspaper which publicised the views of the NUWSS.

14. National 4 Question Source B is about the Suffragettes. The years before the war were a time of tension for the Suffragettes. Splits in the WSPU, caused by the Pankhursts expelling anyone who criticised their militant actions, weakened the movement. Some leading Suffragettes also claimed violence undermined their peaceful efforts. They were afraid they would not be seen as mature adults who could be trusted with the vote. However, peaceful methods like marches or petitions to Parliament had had little effect. 2.
