2 A picture of cooperatives in Veneto In Veneto Region there're a total amount of 3.848 cooperatives, around 750 are social cooperatives, divided between A type (60% of the total) and B type oriented on job training of disadvantaged people (35% of total amount). These social cooperatives provide employment to around 25.000 people. The main business sectors of cooperatives are: commerce and services (75%), agriculture (13%), construction industry (12%) and manufactures (10%). The annual turnover goes down strongly for manufactures and constructions industry and it is growing up very slow for services sector. [data 2011, Osservatorio Coopersviluppo]

3 In the Veneto Region the total amount of active cooperatives are 3839, which represents the 1% of the active local business (Veneto Region Report 2012, by Unioncamere).
