5. Hitler Comes to Power This was important to our book because when Hitler came to power the life of Helmuth changed. More laws followed, and special groups came to him in need of more kids. Hitler Declares War Home "Long live Germany!." “Long Live Germany!” This is important to our book because when Hitler declared war on Poland, France, and Russia, it drastically change the life of our main character, Helmuth. 7. Hitler Youth This is important to our book because when Hitler came to power he started the Jungvolk (Hitler Youth) this meant that Helmuth would be recruited to serve.
