1. You Are in the Race Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3. Steadfast –I Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain. –Aesop’s fable: The Hare and the Tortoise Steadfastness wins the race

4. Pure –I John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 5. –II Timothy 4:7-8 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: –Henceforth there is laid up a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
