11. Relations with North Terence o’neill was the first minister Lemass met captain Terence o’neill 1 st ever Meeting between irish and northern irish leader! O’neill then came down to Ireland for 2 nd meeting Lemass hope to influence north to join us Hope to do this by making Ireland wealthy… …so the north would want a share in it Govts worked together on tourism and common issues
