V31 V27,28 V33 – Psalm 2:7; V34 -- Isaiah 55:3; V35 – Psalm 16:10 What Old Testament Scriptures had been fulfilled when God did this? Why did these Scriptures have to refer to Jesus and not to David?

8 What was the immediate reaction to Paul’s sermon? How many came to the synagogue the next week on the Sabbath? How did the Jews react? (v45) And how did Paul and Barnabas respond? What do you think it was about Paul's message that brought so much hostility from many of his fellow Jews? V46 V42,43 he says: “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”
