11. Does Google Make Us Smart? Some may say that the auto corrective features and the easiness of acquiring information on Google has developed an intellectual laziness among the population. Many of us often type “Facebook” into Google and rather than correcting the obvious mistake, let the search engine fix it. But is it lazy or efficient?

The world has developed mainly because we have found efficient ways to do things whether it’s storing numbers on a phone instead of remembering them or travelling and getting to places in faster vehicles instead of walking Enables us to focus on other more important things and as a human race have more time to develop new technologies. By trying to be efficient in life you are already exercising your mind Google does not make us stupid but it is a gateway to many sources of information.

You can only hold a certain amount of books at a time and to find a specific topic within a subject you have to go through the whole book where as with google you can just search that topic with ease. People are becoming smarter because they are able to get creative with the ways they use it to find what they are looking for. Vs.

16. Summary From all the statistics gathered, it is clear that scholars and the general public both suggest that Google makes us smarter. The 2010 survey done amongst nearly 900 internet users showed that they say the use of Google by 2020 will make our reading skills better, IQ level higher and make our intelligence increase. Positive statistics overweigh the negatives.
