Often We Only Focus on David versus Goliath. This Story Is About 3 People. Saul Should Have Been Israel’s Champion, But He Would Not Lead. Instead, a young man who was not even in the army became Israel’s leader and champion.

7 What Has To Be Overcome Inexperience & Lack of Desire – What happens when Christians refuse to lead?

8 What Happens When No One Leads?
Leadership will come, but in the wrong way, by the wrong person. Unwise decisions will probably be made. Weak leadership leads to conflict, sin, and division. A LEADER MUST CARE FOR THE FLOCK!!!

10 When Things Are Similar The Differences Become Much More Significant
Man’s King Is Anointed SAUL God’s King Is Anointed DAVID Saul Looks Like A King. He Was Head and Shoulders Above The Rest (9:2). Saul Was HIDING Behind The Baggage. David Is A Shepherd Not A King. He Doesn’t Look The Part. David Was In The FIELD.
