They usually only have one baby It remains in it’s mother’s pouch for about 5 months before emerging

Most Australians have never seen a Wombat They are nocturnal There are three kinds of species: Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat, Southern Hairy- Nosed Wombat, Common Wombat. A Hairy-Nosed Wombat is not rare, but is an endangered species.
