Sindhi woman are fond of wearing heavy worked dresses. These traditional dresses are not only liked by Sindhi woman,but they are famous and admired by woman throughout the country as well as its popularity has reached up to horizon as it is admired and appreciated abroad. 5 Sindhi Ajrak The word Ajrak is derived from the Arabic word, ‘Azrak’ which means blue. Ajrak is a unique form of block printed shawls and tiles found in Sindh, Pakistan. The cotton cloth used is called hirkhu, bafto or latho. The dominant hues of Ajrak are rich crimson and a deep indigo blue, printed with traditional motifs like chakki, badam, chhap, challa, khar’k etc. Ajraks are also worn by the Seraiki people of Southern Punjab and Kutch.
