1 Equipment & Tool Committee No Meetings in the last two quarters Need to nominate and then appoint a new chairman The Information Request Subcommittee Needs one new OEM Member. Equipment Companies still prefer to use ETI to request information from OEMs

2 Equipment & Tool Committee Major Issues –Aftermarket Telematics Vs. OEM Telematics –There are quite a few OEMs behind on providing scan tool data. We are hoping for updates in December at Winter Tech Week. We are very happy that KIA has decided to participate –Reprogramming problem OEMs do not want to certify more devices Not sure what software OEM is using ISO 22900 used on non-emissions-related controllers New connectors used for non-emissions-related reprogramming

3 Equipment & Tool Committee Matrices –Becoming difficult to manage. There are too many modules with too many data points –We will probably begin to list tool and equipment information gaps differently. Perhaps a known information gap report on each OEM. Similar to IR report, but seperate. –Service Information Committee Request to Tool & Equipment Committee We have been requested to list aftermarket J2534 devices and what they work on. There are two things preventing this from happening –Some OEMs will not do anymore verification work –Most modules can not be tested if the module doesn't require reprogramming and then will only allow it once.
