16 Repairing the Temple  Money from the chest was paid to the workers  The workers were ‘faithful’ (honest) with their work and pay  The work was done according to the original plans of the temple  After the work was completed, other money was used to make vessels

17 Death of Jehoiada  Jehoiada is 130 years old  He has been faithful in his service  His influence has helped keep Judah faithful in the sepulcher of the kings  He is buried in the sepulcher of the kings in Jerusalem  37 th year of Joash, king of Judah

He did not depart from them.

23 Jehoahaz  The Lord delivered Israel into the hands of Hazael, king of Syria  Jehoahaz is left with (essentially) no army  Finally, in desperation he pleads to the Lord for help  The Lord sent a deliverer did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin  2 Kings 13:6 Nevertheless they did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin, but walked in them; and the wooden image also remained in Samaria. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
