Rest in peace Old Friend.

We will never find a substitute to take your place. One in a million.

An earthy man, rooted in the soil, in the countryside but yet working and living in the city

When we think of Frank, we think; big man, big heart

I was stunned by all you knew but you never made me feel small or stupid. ??!

His obvious love for his family, his laughter and immense capacity to eat all my deer sausage.

He bought me my first pair of proper sewing scissors! That started me off on where I am today!

Frank was a fountain of knowledge on all things, who spoke to anyone and laughed out loud without inhibition.

Frank bought me my first pair of rugby boots, taught me how to shoot a.22 rifle (sort of accurately) and emphasised the importance of a good forward defence.

So long to a gentleman, always made people welcome in Coonmore.

I remember those rifle lessons, shooting the empty cans. He carried me over Church Mountain when I was too little to walk all the way.

You were warm spirited, kind hearted and mischievous.

I will miss his warm generosity, love of the outdoors, historical knowledge, and rugby insights.

Sports stories, a family man, a warm welcome, a owner manager (or what they now call entrepreneurs), such love for the outdoors.

I’ll always remember his great laugh, whistle while he worked, a hard worker always willing to lend a hand.

Anyone who lived in Graceville will remember the endless effort Frank made to repair issues in that house. You never knew when or where you might find Frank!

Frank could ‘talk for Ireland’ and I’ll miss those conversations.

I will miss being quizzed on Canadian trivia, endless book recommendations, his ready laughter, and his ability to live completely in a moment.

Frank’s face always crinkled into a smile. He always had a twinkle in his eye.

How much you loved your dogs. I know they all had their special traits but you treated them all the same.

Always happy to give advice on practical matters!

A Conversationalist: Frank had the ability to draw a conversation with anyone, no matter what age.

He had a knack of being able to pass on knowledge without you realising you were learning - whether it was rugby, history or how to load a rifle!

The ‘expert’ on rugby.

He was also a great story teller, drawing you in and expressing everything with his hands - sculpting the story from the air.

Frank was a great guy, he captained some of the first teams I played on in Monkstown.

Thank you for being so down to earth; you always accepted and cared for people, no matter who they were.
