A Commitment To Worship

Why do we do what we do? What’s it really all about? What’s the “Endgame”?

To The Glory of God Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. John 17:4 John 17:4 I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. John 21:19 John 21:19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!“ 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

To The Glory of God Psalm 115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Psalm 34:3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. Isaiah 60:21 Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

A high priority on seeking God Connect with God by centering our minds and hearts on Him Seek Gods’ glory through praise, adoration, and thanksgiving Experience Gods’ Presence in such a way that: –Our lives will be changed –We will be empowered for serving Him What is our Worship Philosophy ?

Our Commitment to Worship Develop a Sunday morning worship environment that is relevant to our community –Define relevant, please Connect – To join or fasten together; link; unite Effective – Producing or designed to produce the desired impression or response “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

Worship music needs to stay current with the music styles and songs that are heard on the local Christian radio Praise team, band-led worship Hymns presented with a modern arrangement and upscale beat; An experience in worship, not a “sit down and listen” event; Use of media (i.e. video, lighting, etc.); An atmosphere of casual attire, not coat and ties What is our community looking for in Worship?

What is God looking for in Worship? John 4:19~20 19"Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem." John 4:21~24 21Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
