GRADE CONTROL: the VIFFLE {Combo of the cross- Vane & rocked rIFFLE}
2
THIS METHOD IS A DAVE DERRICK & JOHN MCCULLAH DISCOVERY {hatched late at night in the Seattle airport while headed to Alaska}
3
THE VIFFLE: Combining the best attributes of both the Cross-Vane (hydraulically braking {slowing} current near both banks) & the Engineered Rocked Riffle (riffle dissipating energy, improving fish passage, & moving the deep scour hole from underneath the structure to a position downstream of the ERR).

Step #2: Starting downstream, dig into the bed across the channel between the two keys & start placing stones in compression underground & building upstream with rows of stones placed in compression until this ERR is blended into the Cross-Vane structure.
