1 Let Us Reason Together Isaiah 1:10-20

2 God’s People (Isaiah 1:2-9) Sinful and rebellious Must have grieved Him Gave them many opportunities Still true (2 Peter 3:9)

3 Invites Us To Come Must turn away from sin –Invitation to all (Matthew 10:28-30) –“Come now” implying urgency

4 Invites Us To Come Stressed over and over –No “lease on life” (James 4:14) –“Today” is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2) –Take advantage of the opportunity (Hebrews 3:7, 15)

5 Invites Us To Reason Together Expects His people to reason –Prove Him (Malachi 3:10) –Test what we hear (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1)

6 Invites Us To Reason Together Reason with others –About our hope (1 Peter 3:15) –God could have done it otherwise –Why we have the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15) –Not to rely on emotionalism

7 Comes From The Lord “Thus saith the Lord” –No one else worthy to say it –Emphasizes His authority

8 Comes From The Lord Adhere to God’s word –Because He said so (Colossians 3:17) –Man’s ways can be wrong (Proverbs 3:5; 14:12; Jeremiah 10:23) –Not wise enough on our own (Isaiah 55:8, 9)

9 Sins Can Be White As Snow Sin and rebellion takes its toll –Been here almost since the beginning (Genesis 3:1-6) –Not inherited (Ezekiel 18:4, 20; 2 Corinthians 5:10) –Christ has taken away sin (Matthew 20:28; John 10:10)

10 Sins Can Be White As Snow Can be made as white as snow –Turn in loving obedience (Hebrews 5:8, 9) –Hard part for many people

11 Choice Is Ours Can be saved if we are obedient –Their salvation was conditional –Will not force us to obey –Ours is a spiritual reward –Can enjoy heaven someday (Romans 2:7, 10, 11)

12 Choice Is Ours Destroyed if we rebel –There is a hell to avoid –Many will be lost (Hebrews 10:26-31) –No reason to be lost (Romans 2:8, 9, 11)

13 Conclusion God has spoken Why not come to the Lord?
