2 The test is scantron with a short discussion section. There are two types of scantron questions: True/false from each act as well as concerning the whole play Questions about a particular quotation from the play— several from each act. You will be given the whole quotation (including act number and scene number) on the test paper. You will be asked questions such as, “who is the speaker?” “who is spoken to?” and “what literary device is used?”

4 You will be given three quotes to write about; you must choose two. For each discussion quote, you must tell A. who said it B. what is going on in the play when it is said (context) C. how the quote is significant to the play (including but not limited to which themes it contains, or which poetic devices it contains, or how it develops characterization)

5 The next slides show you the quotes that will be on the test. The true/false questions are NOT included in the lines listed on the next three slides. In other words, the next three slides cover about 2/3 of the test—quotes you will be asked about directly. The other 1/3 of the test is true/false questions. STUDY YOUR NOTES and the passages in the book. You DO need to re-read the quotes that are listed on the next three slides.
